There is no new snow. Mountain temperatures are in the teens F to 20s F this morning with an inversion keeping valley temps a bit lower in the south. Winds are 10-20 mph out of the west to northwest. High temperatures today will be in the 20s and 30s F under blue skies with light westerly winds.

Mountain temperatures are inverted this morning, with temperatures in the upper 20s F at mountain tops and teens F at lower elevations. Winds are 5-15 mph, swirling from the southwest to the north. There is no new snow. Today will be sunny with 5-15 mph winds from the west and high temperatures around 30 degrees F.

Under clear skies there is no new snow to report. Wind is 10-15 mph with gusts of 25 mph out of the W-S and E. Ridgetop temperatures are in the low to mid 20s F, but an inversion has lower elevations 5-10 F cooler. Today will be sunny, the wind will remain the same and temperatures will climb into the upper 20s. The next 7 days are forecasted to be warm and sunny, a metaphorical lump of coal in the stocking of sledders, skiers and boarders.

At 5 a.m. the mountains around Bozeman received 2” of snow. Wind is out of the west at 5-10 mph with gusts of 20 mph in the Bridger Range. Temperatures are in the mid teens F and will rise to the upper 20s F today under partly cloudy skies. Wind will remain light from the west and no new snow is expected for the rest of the week.

The mountains received 1-3” of snow since yesterday morning. Wind out of the west decreased to 5-15 mph after gusting to 35 mph yesterday. This morning temperatures are teens to 20s F, and today will reach mid-20s to 30 F. Wind will be west-northwest at 5-15 mph. Light snow showers might drop 1-2” today before high pressure brings mostly clear skies for the rest of the week.

This morning there is 1” of new snow in Cooke City, West Yellowstone and Island Park, and no new snow elsewhere. Wind has been out of the west-southwest at 15-30 mph with gusts of 30-55 mph. Temperatures are single digits to low 20s F this morning. Today, temperatures will reach teens to mid-20s F, and wind will remain moderate to strong out of the west at 15-35 mph. The southern half of our forecast area could get 2-4” of new snow with 1-3” elsewhere by tomorrow morning, and more snow tomorrow.

Since yesterday morning, 1-2” of new snow fell around West Yellowstone, Island Park, and Cooke City, 3-4” near Big Sky and in Hyalite, and up to 7” of low density snow in the Bridger Range. Winds have been 10-15 mph with 20-30 mph gusts out of the north and west. Similar winds will continue today under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. Temperatures are in the single digits and teens F this morning and will rise into the teens and 20s F this afternoon. Snow showers today and increasing tonight will bring 1-3” of new snow by tomorrow morning.

A quick burst of intense snowfall yesterday morning brought 11” of new snow to the Bridger Range, 7-8” near Big Sky and Hyalite, and 5-6” across the rest of the advisory area. Mountain temperatures are in the teens F this morning and will rise into the 20s F. As the snow fell yesterday morning winds were intense out of the west, with gusts of 40-55 mph and an 87 mph gust on the Bridger Ridge. Winds are more moderate this morning and will remain at 10-20 mph today, shifting from west to northwest. Snow showers today and tonight will add up to 1-3” of new snow in most places by tomorrow morning. Big Sky and Hyalite look like they’ll do a bit better with 3-6” accumulating.

Mountain temperatures are in the 20s to 30s F with 15-30 mph winds from the west to southwest. Snow began this morning with 1-3” in the mountains around Big Sky, West Yellowstone, Island Park and Cooke City. Today, high temperatures will be in the 20s to mid-30s F with 15-25 mph winds from the west to southwest. The mountains around West Yellowstone, Island Park and Cooke City will receive 8-10” of snow by tomorrow morning, with 4-6” in the mountains around Big Sky and Bozeman.

Since yesterday morning the mountains got 3” of snow near Cooke City, West Yellowstone and Island Park with 1-2” near Bozeman and Big Sky. Wind has been out of the west at 15-30 mph with gusts of 40-60 mph. Temperatures are 20s to low 30s F this morning. Today, temperatures will reach mid-30s F, wind will be out of the west at 15-25 mph with gusts to 45 mph, and 1-2” of snow is possible. The next couple days will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny with daytime temperatures reaching mid-30s to low 40s F and overnight temperatures in the mid-20s F. Colder temperatures and snow are expected late Wednesday night through next weekend.
